So, I am back… life has been a little consuming and sadly my blog took a back seat! But here I am ready to share some of the wonderful relationships and work that has blessed Baubles and brides! First up is this beautiful custom Brooch Bouquet, one of two designed for Blush Bridal salon… the lovely ladies at Blush desired to enhance their clients experience with a unique bouquet to hold while trying on their gorgeous dresses! Such a great idea!
This Custom Brooch Bouquet is a true labor of love… the amazing Mother of the bride, Viviane contacted me determined to have one of my bouquets for her daughters February wedding in the Bahamas! No problem… except that we only had a few weeks to pull it off! I am always willing to except the challenge of a rush order, if I have the stock or the bride has all her goodies ready to go. Neither however was the case… Viviane did all the hunting of the new pieces while I did all the gathering of the vintage/antique pieces, the fact that she worked for FedEx was such a blessing! 63 emails, a dozen phone calls, countless sneak peeks, 4 shipments and a trip to meet the bride on a layover and… One very happy surprised bride with an over-the- top thankful mother! What a delight is was to collaborate with you Viviane! Travel safe and congratulations!
Sometimes you just know… My first contact with bride, Nicole was one of those times, She knew she wanted a custom Brooch Bouquet to carry at her winter wedding in Canada at an historical carriage house! She was going for a snow queen look! Well, if you know me, you know that I love the brides that think a bit out of the traditional wedding box! But more than that I am a sucker for brides willing to share their story with me… Nicole was and is one of those brides. She, along with her family & friends did the collecting and with each piece came a note about why it was chosen… precious! Also included were pieces of her mother’s velvet wedding dress that I was able to use on the underbelly. She will be carrying so much love with her on February 15th! Thank you Nicole for including me in your love story!
The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat… a little sneak peek from the studio of this fantastically whimsical themed Brooch Bouquet. My amazing bride Lisa did all the collecting for this bad boy, remember the 12 pounds I shared a months ago… we got it down to 6. “Our theme is contemporary clean. I love Art Deco style brooches! I hate butterflies lol. I love, love seahorses, bows, pearls, cupcakes, lipstick and all things Barbie. I do hair so combs, mirrors, shears. I’m tattooed neck to thigh in black and grey portraits, roses and hearts. Vanity is my profession.” This is the fantastic email I got from my out-of-the-box thinking bride Cassandra. I got to do all the hunting for this custom Brooch Bouquet, as you can see from her list I had soooo much fun. I am always so touched when a bride says, “I trust you to do all the hunting!” Congrats Cassandra!

That smile says it all! Heba and her top hat toting groom, Tamar declare their love for each other with family and friends on June 7th in Beirut. I just loved working with this international bride, as I shared in an earlier post… Heba gathered her friends and family from around the globe to participate in the hunt for brooches and goodies for her custom Brooch Bouquet. They all did such a great job, so many unique pieces! Along with these photos came a note, “The wedding was unbelievably amazing and everyone fell in love with my bouquet thanks to you :)” I just have to say that I have the best brides! seriously! Congratulations Heba & Tamar! …and they lived happily ever after.
A custom collaboration from Saudi Arabia to California a mere 8744 miles, give or take a few! That’s what Heba’s June 7th wedding consisted of, a custom designed gown, I can’t wait to see the real thing!
